As I said in the last post, today I will talk about karate and aikido in street fights, but also talk about some other martial arts, I will talk about what I saw and not what I heard from others. First karate, my friend is a black belt in shotokan karate and the winner of many medals and championships, tall and strong, he had a fight in a soccer match (he also played soccer in addition to karate) with a guy I also know who has never trained a single martial art, but he had experience in street fights, during the soccer match they got into a fight, and when the fight started, the karate fighter started to kick the soccer player, the soccer player returned with fist to his chest and avoided the kick, the karate fighter started to combine hands and feet, but the soccer player came close to him and started hitting him with his fists and knocked the karate fighter to the ground covered in blood. The karate fighter, disillusioned with karate, switched to kickboxing after that, and when mma arrived in town, to mma. Next is aikido, since I have witnessed many times how aikido practitioners get beaten, I will tell you only two incidents. The first is in my town, when a man, otherwise a black belt in aikido who worked in security, was securing a night club, during his shift, two guys were insulting each other, and it was obvious that a fight would ensue. An aikido black belt came and grabbed a guy's arm to separate them and that guy turned around and punched the aikido master who fell to the ground and ended up in the hospital. Another story happened in the city where I went to study, my aikido instructor, a black belt, got into an argument with a man, to make a long story short, my aikido instructor ended up in the hospital for three weeks with very serious injuries, so his students brought fruit to the hospital every day. Two of my friends and I were practicing taekwondo, the two of them got into a fight and didn't kick anyone, end of story. A bjj guy was fighting in the street and takedown the guy he was fighting with, a friend of that guy ran in and punched the bjj guy, who later had serious health problems. Avoid ninjutsu unless you go back to the middle ages, I've trained it and I know what I'm talking about, unless you find a ninjutsu club that has sparring but it's hard. Ju jutsu(Traditional japanese ju jutsu), one my friend trains traditional japanese ju jutsu and he managed to defend himself with it, but you need to find a good school and a good instructor. In the school where I trained, I wouldn't have been able to defend myself with ju jutsu.
