Although I love everything about martial arts, there is one thing that interests and fascinates me the most, and that is knife defense and knife fighting. I’ve always been interested in how to defend against knives, recently there was an incident where two soccer players with knives killed an mma fighter who was third in the world championship in amateur mma, which made me think, what I’m actually thinking about, for what it’s worth are you a good boxer, a good mma fighter, or do you have a black belt in some martial art, if you are going to die when someone attacks you with a knife, then that is a waste of time, I am actually burdened with that, how to actually train and be ready to survive real situations, not to win medals . Knives are the most common weapon on the street, although many martial arts deal with knife defense, they have not yet reached the level where these techniques can save life, but still some people managed to defend themselves, such as Kfir Itzhaki who practices krav maga and disarmed is a terrorist who killed people on the street with a knife, Kfir Itzhaki, in addition to krav maga, also has a black belt in shotokan karate. Likewise, many Filipino martial arts masters have defended themselves bare-handed against knife attackers, so it is not impossible to defend yourself from a knife, but such training must be approached seriously, not as Aikido masters teach their students. Thinking about it, I came up with the idea of starting a knife fighting competition, where everything will be allowed as far as the knife is concerned, in this fighting competition it will be knife on knife, while my other competition will cover knife defense, I also want to find guys who will do knife fights, which I will record and put on YouTube independently of the competition, which would further serve me for the analysis of techniques, of course everything is done in full contact and is not choreographed. I will also try to form an association of knife fighting, in order to open clubs and promote knife fighting, and thus raise awareness about knife attacks and the need to know self-defense and especially knife defense.
